On September 23, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering USU received a visit from representatives of Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) and was welcomed by the Dean of FT USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T., and the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization, Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., as well as representatives of BTN, Cindy and Zunaidi Hutagalung.

During the forum, BTN presented several programs with potential to support the needs of FT USU and opened discussions on forms of collaboration that could be developed.

One of the opportunities discussed was support for the planning of the 67th Anniversary of FT USU, scheduled to take place in November 2026, as well as other faculty development programs. BTN also conveyed the possibility of becoming a partner in financial management services for lecturers and education personnel of FT USU.

This activity primarily supports SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals through opening communication between higher education institutions and the banking sector. SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth is also relevant as a potential through financial services and institutional development support.
