The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), conducted a Coordination Meeting on the Progress of Follow-Up Actions for the KAAB Visit Report for the Undergraduate Program in Architecture and the Professional Program in Architecture on July 24, 2026. The activity served as a coordination forum to review the progress of follow-up actions based on the visit results and align the necessary measures to support improvements in the quality of architectural education at FT USU.

The activity was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T., Dean of FT USU; Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T., Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs; Dr. Ar. Wahyuni Zahrah, S.T., MS., IAI; Ar. Devin Defriza Harisdani, S.T., M.T., IAI; Ar. Selly Veronica, S.T., M.T., IAI; and Dwi Debora Sitanggang, S.Ds., M.T. The participation of faculty leadership and relevant stakeholders reflects the importance of cross-functional coordination in ensuring that follow-up actions based on the evaluation results are carried out in a targeted manner.

FT USU coordinated the progress of follow-up actions on the KAAB visit report for the Undergraduate Program in Architecture and the Professional Program in Architecture. The discussion focused on aligning academic management measures with various aspects identified in the evaluation results, ensuring that follow-up actions could be implemented systematically and according to the programs' needs.

The coordination of follow-up progress is part of the quality assurance cycle, which includes evaluation, improvement planning, implementation, and monitoring of results. Through this process, external evaluation results serve not merely as assessment documents but also as a basis for promoting continuous improvement in the management of architectural education.

This activity supports SDG 4: Quality Education through the strengthening of educational evaluation and quality assurance mechanisms. Follow-up actions based on external visit results constitute an effort to ensure that quality improvement processes are carried out continuously and based on measurable evaluation results.

Through this coordination, FT USU reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening a culture of quality through systematic evaluation, coordination, and follow-up actions. With targeted follow-up management and proper documentation of progress, the results of external evaluations are expected to make a tangible contribution to improving the quality of education in the Undergraduate Program in Architecture and the Professional Program in Architecture.
