October 2, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering USU held a Waste Management Team Meeting in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Engineering USU. The meeting served as a follow-up to the planned waste management activities within the faculty.

The meeting involved Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T. (Dean of FT USU), along with the FT USU Consultant Team for Waste Management Issues, consisting of lecturers from various fields of expertise, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Ilmi, M.Sc.; Prof. Dr. Ir. Fatimah, M.T.; Prof. Dr. Ir. Tulus Burhanuddin Sitorus, S.T., M.T., IPM.; Dr.Eng. Ir. Taufiq Bin Nur, S.T., M.Eng.Sc.; Muhammad Safril, ST., MT; and Yasmine Anggia Sari, S.Si., M.T.

The meeting focused on discussing follow-up actions for the waste management plan and involved coordination and review of the plan as part of the preparation stage.

This activity supports SDG 12 on Responsible Consumption and Production through efforts to plan waste management in a more systematic manner. Its connection to SDG 11 is reflected in efforts to establish a more sustainable campus environment, with concrete outcomes to be assessed after the plan is implemented.
