The Civil Engineering Student Association (IMS), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), held the Inauguration of the 11th Management Board for the 2026–2027 period on September 4, 2026. The activity took place at the Multipurpose Hall of the Faculty of Engineering USU. It marked the beginning of a new management period for the student organization of the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering.
The inauguration was attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T. The Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering was represented by Ir. Robi Arianta Sembiring, S.T., M.Eng.
In the leadership regeneration process, Michael Roland Prajab Lase was recorded as the chairperson of IMS in the previous management period. Samudera Nur Muhammad now leads IMS for the 2026–2027 period as the new chairperson.
The change in management marks the starting point for the new management board to carry out its organizational responsibilities in an orderly and accountable manner. This process also provides students with opportunities to learn how to manage an organization, build communication, and work together in developing activities relevant to Civil Engineering students.
