Medan, 5 August 2026 — The 74th Anniversary of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia provided an opportunity to strengthen camaraderie and interaction among members of the university community. In addition to academic activities, recreational events can create a more informal atmosphere while fostering sportsmanship and team spirit.
As part of the celebrations, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU) participated in the Truft Gembira Competition, organized as part of the university’s anniversary festivities.
The competition was held in teams, with participants taking part in card games at several tables. The event provided an opportunity for participants to interact, build communication, and enjoy the celebrations in a spirit of togetherness.
FT USU’s participation in the competition reflects the faculty’s support for university-wide activities. The event was expected to strengthen relationships among members of the academic community while fostering sportsmanship, camaraderie, and a sense of pride in Universitas Sumatera Utara and Indonesia.
FT USU remains committed to supporting university activities that promote participation, togetherness, sportsmanship, and a positive campus environment as a complement to the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi).
