MEDAN — On September 18, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering USU received a visit from representatives of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) for a meeting and discussion regarding potential cooperation plans.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T.; Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs,s Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T.; and Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization, Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
Also present werethe Head of the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering, Dr. Ir. Ika Puji Hastuty, S.T., M.T., IPM.; Head of the Professional Engineer Program, Ir. Nismah Panjaitan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN; Head of the Master's and Doctoral Programs in Civil Engineering,g Ir. Gina Cynthia Raphita Hasibuan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Manager of Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization Emma Patricia Bangun, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D.; and Civil Engineering lecturers Ir. Titi Hayati, S.T., M.T. and Vreslisawati Sagala, S.T., M.Sc.
The involvement of institutional leaders and study program managers opened opportunities for the exchange of institutional information and the exploration of academic cooperation opportunities.
This activity primarily supports SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals through strengthening inter-institutional communication. The potential development of academic relations is also related to SDG 4 – Quality Education, provided that it is followed up through planned and measurable activities.
