The USU Industrial Engineering Student Association (HIMTI FT USU) organized the 2026 Industrial Engineering Retreat, held on August 29–30, 2026, at the Sukamakmur Retreat Center for Christian students of the Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering at USU from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 cohorts. Preparations began in May 2026 under the theme “Rooted In Christ, Growing In Faith”. The activity was designed as a space for reflection and strengthening togetherness among students from several cohorts.
Through the retreat, participants had the opportunity to interact in a more structured environment, get to know one another, and build mutual support among students. Interactions across cohorts also have the potential to strengthen communication and a sense of togetherness within the Industrial Engineering student community.
The activity was part of student development that takes into account personal and social dimensions. Values of responsibility, care, and respect for others can serve as important foundations in academic life as well as organizational activities.
This retreat primarily supports SDG 4 – Quality Education through character development and learning outside the classroom. SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being is also relevant through the space for reflection and social support that can contribute to student well-being.
