On September 16, 2026, the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering USU, held Pegadaian Goes to Campus at the IKATSI FT USU Building. The activity carried the theme “Level Up Your Finances With Gold: Smart Investment through Gold Savings from University.”
The activity began with remarks from the Head of Pegadaian Medan Petisah Branch, Lasmida D. Siahaan, S.E. The financial literacy session was then delivered by Nur Adinda to the participating students.

Through this forum, students were introduced to the importance of developing financial management habits from an early stage. Gold savings was discussed as one of the instruments that can be studied in the context of financial planning, while considering goals, financial capacity, and an understanding of the characteristics of the product. The activity provided a learning space that brought students together with financial services practitioners.
This activity primarily supports SDG 4 – Quality Education through strengthening students' knowledge beyond technical learning in the field of civil engineering. Its connection to SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth is reflected in efforts to develop financial skills that can support students' readiness to manage economic resources responsibly.
FT USU continues to encourage enrichment activities that are relevant to students' needs. Collaboration with professional partners is expected to broaden students' perspectives while helping them develop the ability to make careful and sustainable financial decisions.
