Medan – October 1, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering USU, together with the Directorate of Scientific Writing, Publication, and Publishing, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held the SINTA Synchronization Socialization Roadshow at the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering USU.

Through this activity, lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering received information to better understand the process of updating and synchronizing SINTA data in a more structured manner. The assistance is expected to help lecturers and relevant managers maintain the accuracy of academic and publication data recorded in the system.

The activity formed part of efforts to strengthen the governance of research and publication data so that the information used to map academic performance can be managed more consistently.

FT USU's participation in this activity supports efforts to improve the quality of data governance for lecturer performance in the fields of research and community service, particularly regarding scientific publications, books, and intellectual property rights, as well as strengthening the research and downstreaming ecosystem within FT USU.

This activity primarily supports SDG 4 – Quality Education through strengthening lecturer capacity and academic information governance. SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure is also relevant through strengthening the research and publication ecosystem, while SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions is related to improving the accuracy and governance of institutional data.
