On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunarti Bt Abd Rahman delivered a public lecture on the topic “Development of Polyether Block Amide (Pebax) Nanocomposited with Nano Adsorbent from Agricultural Wastes for Gas Separation.” The lecture addressed the development of Pebax-based membrane materials combined with nano-adsorbents derived from agricultural waste, offering high potential for efficient and sustainable gas separation processes.

Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Norazwina Binti Zainol presented a lecture titled “Turning Trash into Treasure: Harnessing Southeast Asia’s Waste for Valuable Chemical Production.” In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of utilizing waste in Southeast Asia as an alternative raw material for producing high-value chemical products, supporting the circular economy and environmental sustainability.

The event, attended by students, lecturers, and program administrators, was met with enthusiasm. An engaging interactive discussion took place during the Q&A session, reflecting the academic community’s strong interest in current issues in chemical engineering and sustainable process technology.

Through this event, the Chemical Engineering Program at USU reaffirms its commitment to advancing quality higher education through international collaboration and sustainable innovation.
