NCIE 2023 was organized by the Production Systems Laboratory on Saturday, May 20, 2023, located in the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall (USU Faculty of Economics and Business). NCIE 2023 carries the theme "Product Design of Applicable Medical Device to Support Sustainable Developments Goals," which was attended by 5 speakers who were lecturers and practitioners, namely:
1. Prof. Yassierli, ST., MT., Ph.D (Lecturer at Bandung Institute of Technology)
2. Prof. Rosnani Ginting, MT., Ph.D., IPU Asean, Eng (Lecturer at the Universitas Sumatera Utara)
3. Faizal Safa, ST, M.Sc, IPU, Asean Eng, ACPE (Chairman of BKTI-PII/President Director of PT Ilthabi Transportation)
4. Prof. Dr. Ing. Ir. Asep Ridwan (Lecturer of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University)
5. Djoko Kuswanto, ST, M.Biotech (Founder of Rumah Protesis / Lecturer at Sepuluh November Institute of Technology)
The NCIE event is an annual agenda of the Production Systems Laboratory of the Universitas Sumatera Utara with the support of the Faculty of Engineering of the Universitas Sumatera Utara and the USU Industrial Engineering Department to encourage publications and increase the existence of the scientific aspect of Industrial Engineering to external parties.
The series of NCIE 2023 activities began with national seminars by keynote speakers and continued with parallel presentation sessions by presenters.
NCIE activity articles will be published in the Talenta Series Energy and Engineering proceedings. This NCIE event was held in a hybrid manner which was attended by participants including students, practitioners, lecturers from all over Indonesia.
