Medan, August 27, 2026 – The Architecture Study Program held the Architecture Open Days and Exhibition (ARCODE) 2026, featuring Kevin Shah Maulana from Trimble Consulting as a speaker. He delivered a presentation entitled “Global Architecture: Pursuing Further Studies and Exploring Computation in Design Practice.”
The presentation brought together two important dimensions in the development of architects, namely educational experiences in a global context and the use of computation in the design process. This perspective provided participants with an overview of the relationship between learning, digital tools, and changes in professional working practices.
This activity most strongly supports SDG 4 on Quality Education through expanding academic and professional perspectives. Discussions on computation in design practice are related to SDG 9, while perspectives on global study and practice support SDG 17 through an orientation toward cross-border collaboration.
The Faculty of Engineering USU continues to promote architectural education that responds to developments in technology and global networks. This forum is expected to help students identify relevant competency needs for further study as well as future design practice.
