On Sunday, August 17, 2025, a Flag Ceremony was held to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, along with the awarding of the Satyalancana Pin by Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. (Rector of USU) to lecturers of Universitas Sumatera Utara who have shown dedication and made exceptional contributions in the field of education.
