Universitas Sumatera Utara proudly recognized the achievements of its outstanding employees and top academics for 2020. This event was held on Monday, December 21, 2020, at the Academic Senate Room, located on the third floor of USU's Central Administration Bureau.
The ceremony was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Runtung Sitepu, S.H., M.Hum. The awards presentation was also attended by USU’s Vice Rector II, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M. Ked (OG), Sp. OG(K), and Vice Rector III, Prof. Drs. Mahyuddin KM Nasution, M.I.T.
In this award ceremony, Ir. Lilis Sukeksi, M.Sc., Ph.D., was recognized as the Best Innovator, followed by Baihaqi Siregar, S.Si., M.T., and Dr. Emerson Sinulingga. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T., a lecturer from USU’s Chemical Engineering Department, received the award for Best Community Service 2020, followed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti and Dr. Budi Utomo, S.P., M.P. (NA).
Apart from these two categories, USU also honored top academics in several other categories, including Best Writer, Most Patent Contributions, Most Publications, Best Research Executor, Best Conference Organizer, and Best Journal Management at the university level for 2020.
