Hernan March Keanu Pasaribu, a student of the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering, FT USU, with Student Identification Number (NIM) 230404105, achieved notable results at the Rector’s Cup National Karate Championship of Universitas Andalas. The competition was held at the Universitas Negeri Padang Sports Hall (GOR) on August 29–30, 2026.

At the championship, Hernan won Third Place in the Senior Men’s Individual Kumite +84 kg category. He also secured Third Place in the Men’s Student Individual Kumite +84 kg category.

These two achievements in different categories demonstrate the student’s consistency, physical preparedness, and ability to compete at the national level. The achievements also contribute to student character development through disciplined training and sportsmanship.

Hernan’s achievements support SDG 4: Quality Education through the holistic development of student potential beyond academic learning. The achievements are also relevant to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by encouraging participation in sports activities and promoting an active lifestyle.
