From February to April 2026, four undergraduate students from the Civil Engineering Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), completed an internship at PT Erakarya Konstruksi Nusantara as part of the construction project for The Bliss Condominium. The project is located at Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro No. 6, Petisah Tengah, Medan Petisah District, Medan.

The students participating in the internship were Em Miller, Steven, Marsyalia Chairunisya Daulay, and Almira Azmi Rambe. The internship application was submitted through an official letter from the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program at FT USU, signed by Program Head Dr. M. Ridwan Anas, S.T., M.T., on January 14, 2026.
The internship provided the students with an opportunity to gain firsthand experience of the project environment and construction industry practices. Through direct exposure to construction activities, the students were able to complement their classroom learning while developing a better understanding of professional standards, workplace discipline, and the application of technical knowledge in real-world projects.

The activity primarily supports SDG 4—Quality Education by providing experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom. It also contributes to SDG 8—Decent Work and Economic Growth by strengthening students’ readiness to enter the professional workforce.
Through programs such as industry internships, FT USU continues to strengthen learning experiences that connect academic competencies with professional practice and the evolving needs of the construction industry.
