Congratulations to the USU Civil Engineering Trans 17 Team, 2nd Runner-up at the 2020 ITB Civil Engineering Expo Paper Competition

with the theme "Transportation System as a Support for Logistics Movement."

As a country with a rapidly developing civilization, Indonesia is in the stage of building strength as a new superpower. One of the efforts needed is to pay attention to the flow of demand and supply on a national scale. One of them is transportation, which is a derived demand or additional need to realize the fulfillment of the main human needs, namely the movement of both people and goods. In this case, the development of transportation is often forgotten.

 

In fact, an integrated transportation system is the main means of distributing logistics until it is later reached by each individual. To progress the nation's infrastructure in the transportation sector, the Institut Teknologi Bandung held the ICEE ITB 2020 Paper Competition with the theme "Transportation System as a Support for Logistics Movement." It is hoped that students in the community component can produce innovations through this paper to support the development of the Indonesian nation.

On this occasion, the Trans 17 Team (David Barry Haganta Ginting (17-109), Kevin Immanueal Rexy Siagian (17-140) and Serena Yohana Ias (17-123)) as a delegation of the USU Civil Engineering Department participated in the 2020 ICEE ITB Paper Competition with the title "Optimizing the Performance of Expedition Service Providers Using ICT-Based Systems" on February 1-2, 2020 at the Bandung Institute of Technology with supervisor Dr. M. Ridwan Anas, ST, MT. Hopefully, it will motivate civil engineering students to continue to develop their science as a new innovation for the advancement of the nation's infrastructure.
