PT PLN collaborated with LP-USU and Electrical Engineering USU to study electromagnetic induction under the 275 kV transmission system in Simangkuk-Sarulla in May 2022. The collaboration focused on environmental impact analysis and scientific solutions.

PT PLN (PERSERO) Unit Induk Pembangunan Sumatera Bagian Utara collaborated with Lembaga Penelitian Universitas Sumatera Utara (LP-USU) to establish an expert team from the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The team conducted a study on electromagnetic induction under the 275 kV Extra High Voltage Transmission System (SUTET) in the Simangkuk-Sarulla area in May 2022. The study aimed to evaluate the environmental impact of electromagnetic induction and provide scientifically-based solutions for managing the transmission system in the region.
