Medan, August 6, 2026 — The Engineer Professional Study Program (PSPPI), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), held a committee meeting to prepare for and organize the Engineer Professional Oath Ceremony.
The meeting was opened by the Head of PSPPI, Ir. Nismah Panjaitan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN. The meeting discussed preparations for the professional oath ceremony. Through this coordination, PSPPI FT USU sought to ensure that all committee members shared a common understanding of the preparation stages and requirements for the event. Effective coordination is an important part of maintaining an orderly process while supporting accountable professional education.
The preparations for the Engineer Professional Oath Ceremony also reflect the study program’s commitment to fostering a culture of professionalism from the educational stage. The professional oath is not merely an academic ceremony but also serves as a reminder of engineers’ responsibility to apply their knowledge ethically and safely while providing benefits to society.
The activity is strongly aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education through efforts to strengthen professional engineering education.
