On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Student Arts Week (PEKSIMA USU) 2026 was held at the USU Student Center. The annual event once again provided a platform for students to showcase their talents, creativity, and artistic achievements while fostering sportsmanship and appreciation for arts and culture.
PEKSIMA USU 2026 featured competitions across a wide range of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, literature, theatre, photography, and music. Competition categories included poster design, comic strip, painting, photography, monologue, poetry recitation, poetry writing, short story writing, playwriting, and solo vocal performances in pop, keroncong, seriosa, and dangdut genres.
At this year's competition, students from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, delivered an outstanding performance by winning several awards.
The award recipients are as follows:

- Tara Leona (230403013) – First Place, Comic Strip
- Angelika Simanjuntak (230406018) – First Place, Painting
- Naira Aliya Surbakti (230406011) – Second Place, Painting
- Pebri Adi Zebua (230406028) – First Place, Poster Design
