Medan, October 6, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering USU received a visit from representatives of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk to discuss a proposed service collaboration through the BTN Solusi Program.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T. (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering); Ir. Muhammad Agung Putra Handana, S.T., M.T. (Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure); and two representatives of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk.

During the meeting, BTN representatives introduced the BTN Solusi Program as an integrated service designed to support the management of operational transactions and employees' financial needs. The meeting served as an initial exploration and information exchange regarding the suitability of the services for the needs of the Faculty of Engineering USU.

The proposed scope of services included corporate current accounts, a cash management system for online transactions and account monitoring, as well as payroll services. BTN also presented employee financing options, including home ownership loans, alongside investment products, financial planning, and protection services.

At the institutional level, this discussion is related to SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals through exploring potential synergies between higher education institutions and businesses. Its relevance to SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth lies in the potential support provided by transaction and financial management services for institutional operations and employees, which still requires further assessment and agreement.

The Faculty of Engineering USU will assess each proposed collaboration based on institutional needs, benefits, governance, and applicable regulations. Any subsequent steps, if mutually agreed upon by both parties, are expected to be formulated measurably to provide relevant benefits to the institution and its academic community.
