Medan, August 31, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering USU held its routine morning assembly. The assembly was led by Ir. Nismah Panjaitan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., as the assembly supervisor and served as part of efforts to strengthen discipline and the work culture within the faculty.

In her address, the assembly supervisor emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, collaboration, and service for lecturers, education staff, and students. The address also introduced the CEPAT work values as a framework for carrying out duties and responsibilities within the Faculty of Engineering USU.

CEPAT summarizes five values, namely Cermat (Thorough) in carrying out tasks carefully and based on data; Efektif (Effective) in using time, resources, and work methods; Profesional (Professional) in working according to competence, standards, and ethics; Akuntabel (Accountable) in ensuring that actions and work results can be accounted for; and Terintegritas (Integrity) in upholding honesty, consistency, ethics, and moral values.

The emphasis on the CEPAT values is intended to build a shared understanding of behavioral and performance standards in academic and administrative services. The activity materials did not include evaluation results or measurements of changes in performance after the assembly; therefore, the narrative does not state that there had been a measured improvement in performance.

This activity primarily supports SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through strengthening integrity, accountability, and governance within the institution. The activity is also relevant to SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth through encouraging a professional, effective, and responsible work culture.
