Strategic planning and strong coordination are essential to improving the quality of higher education. Aligning performance indicators, work programs, and the development priorities of each unit is crucial to ensuring the effective and sustainable implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU) held a preparation meeting for its 2026 Faculty Work Plan Meeting (Rapat Kerja Fakultas/RKF) on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in the Second Floor Meeting Room of the Faculty of Engineering. The meeting served as a coordination forum to align the faculty's development priorities and strategic work plans for 2026.

The meeting was attended by the faculty leadership, heads and secretaries of study programs, and the Dean's expert staff. The participation of representatives from across the faculty was expected to foster a shared understanding of the faculty's performance targets, as well as the roles and contributions of each unit in achieving institutional objectives.

Discussions focused on aligning the 2026 Performance Indicators, formulating and synchronizing the faculty's work programs, and addressing strategic issues related to strengthening institutional governance and enhancing the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

Through this coordination forum, each study program and administrative unit is expected to develop implementation plans that are fully aligned with the faculty's policies and strategic targets. This alignment also serves as an initial step toward minimizing overlapping initiatives, strengthening cross-unit coordination, and improving the overall effectiveness of program implementation throughout the year.

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, remains committed to continuously strengthening program planning, internal coordination, and performance evaluation. These efforts are expected to support the effective implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education while ensuring that the faculty's development goals are achieved in a more strategic, integrated, and sustainable manner.
