Medan, June 10, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), held a Preparatory Meeting for the Development of the FT USU 2026–2031 Master Plan. The meeting marked the initial stage of the faculty's strategic planning process for the upcoming six-year period.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T., Dean of FT USU; Ir. Muhammad Agung Putra Handana, S.T., M.T., Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure; Dr. Ir. Ali Hanafiah Rambe, S.T., M.T.; Dr. M. Ridwan Anas, S.T., M.T.; Prof. Ir. Rosnani Ginting, M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng.; Dr. Ir. Ar. Achmad Delianur Nasution, S.T., M.T., IAI., AA., IAP., GP.; Ir. Robi Arianta Sembiring, S.T., M.Eng.; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Tulus Burhanuddin Sitorus, S.T., M.T., IPM. The participation of the faculty leadership reflected the institution's commitment to the preparatory phase of the master plan development process.

The meeting served as an internal coordination forum to establish a shared foundation before the drafting of the master plan proceeds. The active involvement of the faculty leadership underscores the institution's commitment to ensuring a structured and collaborative planning process.
The initiative is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, as it supports the development of a structured institutional planning process. This alignment will be further strengthened as additional information becomes available regarding the scope of the master plan, the outcomes of the meeting, and the planned follow-up actions.
