Medan, August 10, 2026 — The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), held a Coordination Meeting for the Implementation of the 2026/2027 Academic Year Campus Life Introduction Program for New Students (PKKMB). The meeting was conducted as part of the faculty’s institutional preparations ahead of the PKKMB series.

The meeting was attended by the heads and secretaries of 10 undergraduate study programs, namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Mining Engineering, and Urban and Regional Planning. The PKKMB Committee Chair was also involved in the meeting.

The coordination forum served as a platform to align preparations for the PKKMB implementation, particularly regarding the series of activities for welcoming new students at both the faculty and study program levels.

The activity supports SDG 4: Quality Education, as the coordination was aimed at supporting new students’ introduction and adaptation to the higher education environment. The involvement of various internal units also contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions through strengthened coordination and governance of faculty activities.

FT USU is committed to strengthening educational services and student governance through coordinated planning. These efforts are expected to support the implementation of a well-organized, informative, and student-centered PKKMB program that responds to the needs of new students.
