Medan, July 24, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), held a Master Plan Meeting in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of FT USU. The meeting served as a coordination forum to continue discussions on the direction and requirements for developing the Master Plan.

The main agenda of the meeting was to follow up on the development of the FT USU Master Plan 2026–2031, along with discussions on other matters raised during the forum. This focus positioned the meeting as part of the faculty’s institutional planning process for the six years.

As a follow-up stage, the meeting is expected to contribute to the development of a more focused planning framework and support consistency in the faculty’s development. This contribution remains potential until the final decisions and documents can be verified.

The activity is related to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through efforts to strengthen institutional planning and governance. The discussion of the Master Plan has the potential to support a more systematic decision-making process based on agreed development priorities.

Through this process, FT USU reaffirmed its commitment to establishing planned, accountable, and sustainable governance. The development of the 2026–2031 Master Plan is expected to serve as a foundation for the faculty’s future development once the final document and priorities have been established.
