The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), once again held the Jumat Berkah activity on August 21, 2026. The activity involved distributing food packages at Al-Ma’sum Mosque in Medan Johor.

The distribution represented a simple yet concrete effort to provide direct benefits to the community through a spirit of sharing.

In addition to helping meet food needs during the activity, Jumat Berkah also served as a means of strengthening social awareness as part of FT USU’s institutional culture.

In substantive terms, the activity supports SDG 2—Zero Hunger by providing and distributing food as a form of food assistance. The activity is also related to SDG 10—Reduced Inequalities, as it provides direct attention and support to beneficiaries outside the Faculty’s internal community.

Through the Jumat Berkah activity, FT USU reaffirmed its commitment to carrying out its social role in a tangible and responsible manner. The Faculty encourages the values of care, togetherness, and contribution to sustainable development to continue growing as part of academic community life.
