Medan, October 8, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), prepared for the accreditation site visit by the Independent Engineering Accreditation Agency (LAM Teknik) for the Chemical Engineering Study Program through a series of assistance meetings and field inspections. These activities aimed to prepare the study program for the accreditation site visit while supporting improvements in educational quality and academic governance.
The activities were attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T. (Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs); Reisya Ichwani, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Manager of Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs); Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc. (Head of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering); Prof. Dr. Ir. Halimatuddahliana, S.T., M.Sc. (Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering); Farida Hanum, S.T., M.T. (Secretary of the Master's and Doctoral Programs in Chemical Engineering); and Ir. Rivaldi Sidabutar, S.T., M.T.
This series of activities formed part of the coordination and assistance efforts to prepare the various aspects required for the accreditation site visit. Through the assistance meetings, the faculty and study program were expected to align their preparations, identify matters requiring follow-up, and ensure readiness for the field inspection.
Through these preparatory activities, the Faculty of Engineering USU reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving educational quality, strengthening study program governance, and fostering a sustainable quality culture. These efforts are expected to support the achievement of higher education quality standards and improve the quality of educational delivery at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
