The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has officially launched ICOMCUBE 2026 for the first time. In a significant collaboration with the Indonesia Built Environment Research Institute (IPLBI/IBERI), USU serves as the main host and coordinator of this international academic forum.
The conference showcases global excellence by featuring 13 keynote speakers, including prominent Deans and Heads of Study Programs from Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan. This major event is led by Dr. Ir. Ar. Achmad Delianur Nasution as Conference Chair, Head of the Professional Architecture Study Program at USU, and Chair of IPLBI/IBERI Region I.
Reflecting its strong academic impact, the conference received 83 paper submissions from 37 institutions across various countries. Through a rigorous peer-review process, 72 papers were accepted, addressing key themes such as digital heritage, urban planning, and the conservation of Malay settlements—setting a new benchmark for regional research.
