Medan, August 5, 2026 — As part of the 2026 Independence Day celebrations, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), participated in a sack race competition.

Participants moved along the race track while standing inside sacks, with supporters watching from the sidelines. The activity emphasized movement coordination, balance, concentration, and sportsmanship as important elements of the competition.

FT USU’s participation in the activity has the potential to strengthen social interaction and solidarity among participants and supporters. The activity during the competition also contributes to promoting an active campus culture.

The activity is strongly aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Its relevance can be seen in participation in an active game that provides opportunities for physical activity and social interaction as part of efforts to support the well-being of the campus community.
