The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), conducted a review of the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and Self-Evaluation Report (LED) for the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering on September 2, 2026. The review focused on mission differentiation, quality assurance systems, and sustainable development programs.
The activity was attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of FT USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc.; the Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Halimatuddahliana, S.T., M.Sc.; and the accreditation team.
The review served as a collaborative working session to examine the clarity of the study program’s mission, the interconnectedness of its quality assurance mechanisms, and the continuity of its development plans. This stage was part of the accreditation preparation process for the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Engineering (LAM Teknik), which is carried out through a series of review activities.
The activity primarily supported SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening the quality assurance system of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering. SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions was also relevant through accountable evaluation, documentation, and academic governance processes.
FT USU remains committed to strengthening a culture of quality through systematic and collaborative document review. The process is expected to help the study program prepare its accreditation documents in a more structured manner without anticipating or preempting the accreditation agency’s decision.
