Medan, August 24, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), conducted a review of the LKPS and LED documents for the Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Study Program at the FT USU Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor. The activity was part of a series of accreditation preparation activities aimed at ensuring the completeness, consistency, and interconnectedness of data within the accreditation documents.

The review focused on accountability, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, as well as Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental (K3L) aspects. The team examined various data and information to identify sections of the documents that required further improvement before proceeding to the finalization and submission stages.

The activity was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T., Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of FT USU; Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc., Head of the Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Study Program; Prof. Dr. Ir. Halimatuddahliana, S.T., M.Sc., Secretary of the Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Study Program; and the Accreditation Team of the Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Study Program. The involvement of faculty leadership and study program management supported a coordinated document review process.

The subsequent accreditation preparation activities include a review of the drafting team's structure, working mechanisms, and external environment analysis on August 28; mission differentiation, quality assurance systems, and sustainable development programs on September 2; document finalization on September 7; and document submission on September 10, 2026.

This activity supports SDG 4 — Quality Education by strengthening quality assurance and accreditation readiness in higher education. The review of accountability and document governance also contributes to SDG 16 — Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

Through the series of LKPS and LED reviews, FT USU continues to strengthen its culture of quality and sustainable academic governance. The refinement of documents at each stage is expected to support the Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Study Program's readiness for the LAMTEK accreditation process.
