A student from the Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, USU, Naufal Fadhillah (230406077), won First Place in the Mandala 2026 Render Competition. The online competition, organized by the Landscape Architecture Department of Universitas Udayana, carried the theme “Bhumi Jala: River Integration”.

The submitted work was titled “Bhumi Jala River of Life”. The work served as a medium for Naufal to translate ideas about the relationship between rivers, spaces, landscapes, and human activities into architectural visual representations.

This achievement demonstrates recognition of FT USU students' ability to develop concepts and communicate them effectively through rendering techniques. It also illustrates the application of competencies acquired through learning in an extracurricular competition setting.

This achievement primarily supports SDG 4 – Quality Education through the development and recognition of student competencies. SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities is also relevant at the thematic level, as the work explores the relationship between rivers, spaces, and landscapes.

Naufal Fadhillah's achievement serves as an encouragement for FT USU students to continue developing their creativity, mastery of visual technology, and confidence in participating in competitions. Such experiences can strengthen students' readiness to communicate design ideas professionally.
