Team sports rely not only on physical strength but also on coordination, discipline, and teamwork among participants. Tug-of-war is one of the activities that combines physical fitness with teamwork.

Medan, August 6, 2026 — The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), team participated in the preliminary round of the tug-of-war competition against the RSGM USU team.

During the match, participants worked together in formation to maintain the team’s pulling force and rhythm. The activity demonstrated the importance of direct coordination when competing against an opposing team.

Participation in the competition has the potential to promote physical activity while strengthening solidarity among faculty members. The activity is strongly aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being through physical activity and social interaction in team sports.
