The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), conducted a working visit to the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL), Institut Teknologi Bandung, on Monday, September 7, 2026, as part of efforts to improve the quality and development of research, community service, cooperation, and internationalization activities at FT USU.
FT USU was represented by Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights and share experiences with FTSL ITB regarding the management and development of activities in these areas.

This working visit provided FT USU with a comparative perspective on institutional practices at FTSL ITB and has the potential to expand institutional networks and serve as a basis for identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
This activity primarily supports SDG 17—Partnerships for the Goals through knowledge exchange and the strengthening of inter-institutional networks. Its relevance to SDG 4—Quality Education and SDG 9—Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure is reflected in efforts to develop institutional capacity, research, and innovation. FT USU is committed to strengthening academic networks and institutional learning that support the continuous improvement of the quality of the tridarma of higher education and internationalization.
