The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), participated in the Men’s Sack Race as part of the celebrations commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the Dies Natalis of Universitas Sumatera Utara on August 17, 2026. In the competition, the FT USU representative won Second Place.

The sack race requires coordination, balance, agility, and concentration to complete the course. FT USU’s participation was part of the Faculty community’s involvement in enlivening the university-level celebrations while fostering a spirit of togetherness.

The activity primarily supports SDG 3—Good Health and Well-Being through physical activity and recreation that encourage an active lifestyle. FT USU is committed to supporting the participation of its academic and administrative community in activities that promote fitness, sportsmanship, and togetherness across the university.
