Medan, August 21, 2026 — The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), surveyed the Materials and Concrete Engineering Laboratory of the Civil Engineering Study Program. The activity took place at the FT USU Materials and Concrete Engineering Laboratory and involved National Accreditation Committee (KAN) assessor Tri Handayani, S.T., M.Eng.

The activity was also attended by FT USU Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Infrastructure, Ir. Muhammad Agung Putra Handana, S.T., M.T.; Secretary of the Civil Engineering Study Program, Ivan Indrawan, S.T., M.T.; Head of the Materials and Concrete Engineering Laboratory, Ir. Syahrizal, M.T., IPU; Civil Engineering lecturer Gea Geby Syafridon, S.T., M.T.; laboratory technician Riscky Marsella Tarigan, A.Md.; Civil Engineering staff; and laboratory assistants.

The activity primarily supports SDG 9—Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through efforts to strengthen the quality of laboratory infrastructure and testing services. It is also relevant to SDG 4—Quality Education, as laboratories support student learning and competency development, as well as SDG 16—Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through strengthened institutional governance and standardization.
