On Wednesday, November 15, 2017, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) handed over a Toyota Yaris to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering (FT) USU. The handover was conducted by the university's rectorate and officially received by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Ir. M. Sabri, M.T., IPM, ASEAN Eng. This initiative demonstrates the rectorate's support in enhancing learning facilities for students of Mechanical Engineering, particularly in the field of automotive research.
The Mechanical Engineering Department expressed its hope that students will maximize the use of the vehicle as a learning resource. With this facility, students are expected to advance their skills in automotive technology and related research, aligning with USU's vision to produce graduates who excel and are competent at both national and international levels.
