The Civil Engineering Student Association of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (IMS FT USU), held its 2025/2026 General Assembly on June 20, 2026. The activity took place at the Civil Engineering Alumni Association Building of USU as the organization’s highest deliberative forum.

The assembly agenda included the discussion and adoption of the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART). This process formed part of efforts to strengthen the organization’s foundation, ensuring that the management period is guided by mutually agreed principles and working mechanisms.

The forum also evaluated the Accountability Report of the previous management period. The evaluation provided an opportunity for the organization to review program implementation and the accountability of the previous leadership.

The General Assembly also elected the Chairperson of IMS FT USU for the 2026/2027 period. Samudera Nur Muhammad was elected to lead the organization following the leadership period headed by Michael Roland Prajab Lase.

The activity primarily supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through deliberation, accountability, and leadership regeneration within the student organization. SDG 4: Quality Education is also relevant through leadership and governance learning for students. FT USU continues to encourage student organizations that are participatory, accountable, and sustainable.
