The Electrical Engineering Student Association of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (IMTE FT USU), held the inauguration of its executive board for the 2026/2027 term on August 21, 2026, at the FT USU Hall.

The inauguration was attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of FT USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T., and the Secretary of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Muhammad Safril, S.T., M.T. The presence of faculty and study program leadership reaffirmed their support for the development of student organizations.

The newly inaugurated Executive Board consists of Hidayatullah Al Rasyid as Chairperson, Heber Albert Siringo-Ringo as Secretary General, and Manelysa Lady Maretha as Treasurer General. The inauguration marked the beginning of the IMTE FT USU management period for 2026/2027.

The activity primarily supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through leadership regeneration and strengthened organizational governance. SDG 4: Quality Education is also relevant, as student organizations provide a space for students to develop leadership, communication, responsibility, and teamwork skills.

FT USU continues to encourage student organizations that are active, well-organized, and accountable. The new management is expected to carry out its organizational mandate and organize activities that support the academic and student development of Electrical Engineering students.
