On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the inauguration ceremony for the graduates of the Professional Engineer Education Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara (PSPPI USU), 15th Cohort, was held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Engineering, USU. A total of 46 new engineers were officially conferred during the ceremony.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPU (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, USU), Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R (Secretary of Universitas Sumatera Utara), Ir. Malik Assalih Harahap, S.T., M.M., IPM, ASEAN Eng. (Chair of PII Medan City), Dr. Ir. Ahmad Perwira Mulia, M.Sc. (Chair of PII North Sumatra), Ir. Ferry Rahmat Astianta Bukit, S.T., M.T., IPM (Head of the Professional Engineer Education Program), and Ir. Robi Arianta Sembiring, S.T., M.Eng. (Secretary of the Professional Engineer Education Program).
This inauguration marks that the graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, USU’s Professional Engineer Program are ready to enter the workforce as professional engineers. They are expected to contribute to national development and demonstrate strong competence and integrity in their profession.
Following the inauguration ceremony, the event continued with the official opening of the PII Center building, which will serve as a facility to support the administrative processes related to the professional engineer program.
