The Industrial Engineering Student Association (HIMTI), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held the Industrial Expo and Competition (IEC) 2023. This activity combined several HIMTI activities, such as Terati, IE-FAIR, and I-Fest. It is the biggest event organized by HIMTI for the first time this year offline, with the theme "Digitalization for the Bright Future." The first series of activities was Terati (Temu Ramah Teknik Industri) on March 5, 2023, which was filled with footsteps and talk shows with the theme "Digitalization Strategy for Society 5.0." This talk show consisted of 3 speakers consisting of Industrial Engineering alumni themselves, namely: 1. Harun Al Rasyid S.T., MBA: Director of Drinking Water Perumda Tirtanadi 2. H. Adlin Umar Yursri Tambunan, S.T., M.S.P.: Vice Regent of Serdang Berdagai 3. Ikhsan Siregar, S.T., M.Eng: To the USU Priority Program Evaluation Board
The second activity is IE-FAIR (Industrial Engineering Fair) on March 5-9, 2023, with the theme "Digitalization in Developing Business and Industries". IE-FAIR consists of 2 activities, namely INPACT (Industrial Paper and Action) and National Seminar. INPACT is a scientific paper competition that all students in Indonesia can take part in. This National Seminar was held at the USU Student Center presenting several speakers, namely: 1. Ir. Aulia Ishak, ST, MT, Ph.D., IPM (Head of USU Industrial Engineering Study Program) 2. Varid Airlangga, ST., MM (Developer at Xcamp XL Axiata) 3. Michael J.B. Sinaga, ST (Business Consultant at Ernst & Young) 3. Moderator: Hera F. Haryn (Executive Vice President at PT Bank Central Asia)
The third activity is I-Fest (Industrial Festival) on March 11, 2023, which is the peak event of IEC 2023 activities in the form of music festival activities by presenting famous guest stars, namely Hindia, Yovie & Nuno, and Onadio Leonardo. Not to mention, local Medan musicians such as Karokeria, L.Y.N.S, Stypht, Hexa Music, Why Bunny Why, and Ardani were also presented. I-Fest was held at the Lotte Grosir Medan Parking Lot.
