Muslim students of the 2025 cohort of the Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), participated in the Islamic Leadership Training (ILT). The activity was organized as a leadership development program for students based on Islamic values.

ILT served as an out-of-class learning platform to strengthen participants’ understanding of personal and social responsibilities. Through the development activities, students were encouraged to build discipline, social awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively within academic and student environments.

The experience gained through leadership training can serve as a foundation for students to participate more actively and responsibly in campus activities. This impact is positioned as a development objective for participants rather than as an individually measured achievement.

The activity primarily supported SDG 4: Quality Education through character development and the enhancement of student leadership competencies. SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions was also relevant through the strengthening of values related to integrity, responsibility, and governance in leadership.
