Mechanical Engineering Student Association Of The Faculty Of Engineering, Usu, Holds Members’ Plenary Meeting

Medan – October 16, 2026, the Mechanical Engineering Student Association of the Faculty of Engineering, USU, held its Members’ Plenary Meeting for the 2025/2026 period.

The meeting served as a forum for evaluating the management and discussing the organization’s direction for the following period. The agenda included the presentation and discussion of the management’s Accountability Report, a review of the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), discussion of the organization’s work guidelines, and leadership regeneration. These agenda items relate to accountability, internal regulations, and the sustainability of student organizations.

Nauval Zibran Pahlevi was listed as the chair for the 2025/2026 period, while Mhd. Faiz Niffari was listed as the chair for the 2026/2027 period. This leadership transition is part of ensuring continuity in organizational responsibilities between management periods.

This activity primarily supports SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions through deliberative practices, accountability, and member participation. SDG 4 – Quality Education is also relevant through organizational learning and the development of student leadership capacity.

Student organization governance requires a space for evaluation and open decision-making. Deliberative forums provide members with the opportunity to review program implementation, express their views, and determine the organization’s continuity.
