Medan, December 23, 2024 — The public doctoral promotion of Donni Syahrial Hanafi Daulay from the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, was held solemnly and meaningfully at the IMT-GT Room, 2nd Floor, BPA Building, USU. This moment gained special attention due to the presence of Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., currently serving as Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, in his role as co-promoter.
Doctoral candidate Donni Syahrial Hanafi Daulay presented his dissertation entitled “Development of a Causal Model of Workplace Accidents in the Manufacturing Industry,” aiming to offer a comprehensive approach to analyzing and reducing the risk of workplace accidents in the manufacturing sector. The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Rahim Matondang, MSIE, and co-promoted by Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. from Institut Teknologi Bandung as the external co-promoter.
The presence of Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. as both a government official and academic underscored the importance of collaboration between higher education institutions and national labor policy.
Upon successfully defending his dissertation, Donni Syahrial Hanafi Daulay was officially declared the 13th doctoral graduate of USU’s Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering, reinforcing the program’s commitment to producing excellent graduates with wide-reaching impact for the nation.
