In line with this commitment, the Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU) held a Coordination Meeting on the Preparation of Responses to the IABEE Self-Evaluation Report (SER). The activity formed part of the Interim Evaluation process conducted by the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) as part of its international accreditation framework.

The coordination meeting took place from July 7–10, 2026, in the meeting room of the Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering, FT USU. It involved the IABEE Interim Evaluation Team, comprising faculty members and administrative staff responsible for preparing and strengthening the program's accreditation documentation.

During the meeting, the team carefully reviewed every comment, suggestion, and recommendation provided by the IABEE evaluators regarding the Self-Evaluation Report (SER). Team members analyzed the evaluation results in detail before preparing accurate, comprehensive responses supported by relevant data and documentary evidence.

The discussions were conducted collaboratively to ensure that every issue raised by the evaluators was addressed appropriately and in accordance with the standards and criteria established by IABEE. Through this process, the Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering strengthened the quality of its response documents while using the evaluation as an opportunity for continuous reflection and improvement in the delivery of engineering education.

This initiative contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), by strengthening the quality of higher education. It also supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through enhanced governance, documentation, quality assurance, and institutional effectiveness within the study program.

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, remains committed to continuously improving educational quality, strengthening academic governance, and fulfilling engineering education standards that meet both national and international expectations.
