September 19, 2026, the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, USU, held the Student Training for Engineering Leadership, Orientation, and Networking (STEELION) for new students.

The activity included an introduction to Civil Engineering traditions and group games to build interaction among participants, as well as orientation, information sharing, organizational introduction, and activities that foster togetherness, leadership development, and network expansion among participants.
This activity primarily supports SDG 4 – Quality Education through academic orientation, self-development information, and an introduction to the learning ecosystem for new students. SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions is also relevant through introducing students to their roles, organizations, and participation in academic governance.

FT USU continues to promote an educational and inclusive student orientation that supports the development of a responsible academic culture.
