The Mechanical Engineering program recently welcomed guest lecturers who shared insights into the development of electric energy technology (batteries) and the implementation of hydrogen energy in hybrid vehicles. The event featured two prominent automotive experts: Ir. Tutuko Wirjoatmodjo, METM, from the Indonesian Automotive Industry, and Ir. Djlamprong Kartiko, M.T., Coordinator of the Indonesian Hydrogen Technology Association.

The talk show session was moderated by a young Mechanical Engineering lecturer, Reisya Ichwani. The first session began with Ir. Tutuko Wirjoatmodjo, METM, who discussed the development of renewable and environmentally friendly energy in Indonesia. The second session continued with Ir. Djlamprong Kartiko, M.T., who explored the latest advancements in Indonesia’s automotive industry, particularly electric vehicles.

The event was attended not only by the academic community of the Mechanical Engineering Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara but also by several notable figures from the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), adding excitement and value to the occasion.
