The head of the USU Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Ir. Maya Sarah, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM, along with two lecturers and other students, are commemorated after training and TOEFL prediction tests for final-year students.
In order to improve the quality of English language skills of final year students, the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering held training and TOEFL prediction tests for final year students.
On the first day of training, Thursday (7/3), the Head of the USU Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Ir. Maya Sarah, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM, along with two USU Chemical Engineering lecturers, Kelvin Hadinatan, S.T., M.Sc., and Ir. Muhammad Thoriq Al Fath, S.T., M.T., gave a warm welcome to The Language Access, the selected course provider.
In her speech, Prof. Ir. Maya Sarah, S.T., M.T., Ph.D, IPM, conveyed the importance of getting a high TOEFL score and having good English skills for Chemical Engineering students. English is an important international language in the world of work, especially in the engineering industry, which often involves cross-country collaboration. Good English skills will also open up opportunities for students to access the latest literature and research sources in the field of chemical engineering and improve communication and presentation skills.
"Hopefully, this initial activity can increase the awareness of students in the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering about their current TOEFL score so that they continue to be encouraged to achieve higher scores," he said recently.
Chemical engineering students highly anticipate TOEFL course programs and prediction exams. They realize that having a high TOEFL score is one of the keys to success in the professional world. This course also provides an opportunity for them to deepen their understanding of TOEFL exam materials and improve exam-taking strategies.
The Undergraduate Programming in Chemical Engineering has established cooperation with The Language Access, a TOEFL Preparation Class training service provider in Medan. The Language Access has made a major contribution to improving students' English language skills at various universities in North Sumatra, both in preparation for the TOEFL and IELTS exams.
In addition, they are actively providing assistance with free scholarship preparation. The cooperation between USU Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering and The Language Access is expected to provide great benefits for students in improving their English language skills so that they are ready to face challenges in the world of work and continue their studies to a higher level where TOEFL is often the main requirement.
