The Chemical Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), plays an active role in international collaboration by becoming a co-organizer of The 3rd International Symposium of Reaction Engineering, Catalysis & Sustainable Energy (RECaSE2025), hosted by Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) on July 2, 2025. The event carries the theme: “Innovating for a Sustainable Future: Advances in Energy & Processes.”
This international symposium serves as a prestigious forum for academics, researchers, and industry professionals from various countries to exchange ideas, research findings, and the latest innovations in reaction engineering, catalysis, and sustainable energy.
The presence of Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Irvan, M.Si, a senior lecturer from USU’s Chemical Engineering Program, as a keynote speaker at the symposium added to the program’s pride. He shared strategic insights and research findings related to process innovation and energy technologies that support a sustainable future.
USU’s participation in RECaSE2025 not only strengthens the university’s global presence but also opens up opportunities for research collaboration and knowledge development between higher education institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. This collaboration is expected to continue growing and make a meaningful contribution to technological advancement and global sustainability.
